Jon Otis' Bio
Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Jon grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and has worked as a musician since the age of 15. From the late 1960’s he played with a wide variety of artists, groups, music, dance and theater projects. Music styles have ranged from Rock, Pop, Jazz, Classical, Blues, R n B, and Funk to African, Brazilian, Latin, New Age and World Music.
In the late 1970s Jon travelled to Europe and resided there for 25 years. During that time Jon composed, arranged and recorded many songs, was engaged by popular artists and travelled worldwide performing on-stage and in the recording studio.
Jon recorded his first Maxi Single TIME FLIES BY and solo album, DOUBLE AGENT in Switzerland in 1985. In 1993 he completed his first solo cd THE SUN, THE MOON AND THE STARS. In 1995 Jon released a cd of rhythms and songs called JODIWA. He is currently working on a project of homemade songs called BEDROOM SWEETZ. Jon has composed music for Film, Dance, Theater, music for Movie and TV commercials, music for his projects and other artists.
